Four orders for online betting


Hyderabad: The Northern Zone task force on Friday apprehended four people for engaging in online betting and hosting games at a Langar House residence. The accused were: Zameeruddin, Khaja Ahmed, Shahzayb and Aazam Khan.

Officials of the task force said they had been made aware of the illegal bets. They raided the residence and apprehended the accused, while three others fled. A total of Rs 8.65 lakh was recovered.

Those arrested were organizing online betting games to earn money illegally. They created a website and made it available on Google. The gang provided a username and password to punters to play online games. He was available 24 hours a day. If a bettor was playing a betting game using the online mode using the services provided by the accused, because the bettor did not have direct access to the betting organizer. The gang acted as a mediator between the organizer and the punters and maintained around 550 punters, said P Radhakishan Rao, DCP, Task Force.

He said: “The defendants have become professionals in online and offline betting and won illegally. Once detained, they confessed to also setting up many such websites to facilitate online betting.

The websites are,,,,, goldexch, sky exchange. The gang also offered betting services to punters on various online and offline games, such as Teen Patti, casino games, cricket, soccer, tennis. To transact for illegal games, they kept multiple bank accounts and earned a huge commission. “
