Thanet District Council’s Street Scene Enforcement Team were called to the scene yesterday after drivers discovered Park Road near Birchington Vale Caravan Park had been made impassable.

The huge pile includes various household items, including a microwave oven and a rug with “home sweet home” written on it.

It also includes a large amount of rubble from what appears to be a DIY project, including a broken sink and various cuts of wood.

The shipment is believed to have been dumped by a dishonest waste hauler.

A council spokesperson said: “Incidents like this show why you should always choose a reputable waste hauler to dispose of bulky waste.

“If they unload your waste and it can be traced back to you, you could be fined. When choosing a waste hauler, always ask to see their waste hauler license issued by the Agency ‘environment.

“Help us find who did this – please email any information you may have about the incident to [email protected]
