MLB Minnesota Twins/San Diego Padres Over 8.5 (-110): 3:10 p.m. CT on Bally Sports North
As we’ve seen in the first two games of this series, either Minnesota’s pitcher will give up plenty of runs or his offense will squeeze in for the win. Either way, it explains why the Twins are MLB’s best bet in road games. Today, both factors could come into play to get this one out of the total.
Dylan Bundy has shown once again in Milwaukee that he’s going to get hit pretty hard, and his 6.41 road ERA is going to be a factor in this one. But he’s had extremely consistent support from the offense, with the Twins now scoring six points in each of his last five starts. They could easily do it again here against Sean Manaea. Southpaw Padre had a rough July compiling a 6.16 ERA, and just gave up nine points to soft Detroit roster, so he’s not in great shape. With the way these teams are hitting the ball combined with struggling starters, this one could top the number quickly.
Tiny Nick is 819-690 ATS (+73 units) on his locks since joining Zone Coverage.
Each day it will offer its Locks and Degenerate choices. The locks are the games he trusts. Degenerates are fun but riskier choices.
